Pentillie Castle Wedding

Beautiful Cornish Castle Wedding – Anna and Gary.

Pentillie Castle on the banks of the River Tamar was the venue for the beautiful wedding of Anna and Gary.  Gary contacted me a few months ago about having some relaxed photography of their marriage.  The emphasis definitely on relaxed reportage, to capture their wedding unobtrusively.

The ceremony took place at the Bathing Hut, with the water lapping on the river bank outside during the service.  The Castle and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the perfect spot for a relaxed, intimate wedding.  Pentillie Castle is one of those venues which is so very special, for a number of reasons.  Not having been there before, I was struck by the amazing position of the Castle above the River Tamar.  It is so idyllically peaceful and beautiful, set amongst such stunning countryside.

Despite February rain all day prior to the wedding, when the time came to gather at the Bathing Hut, there was a rainbow followed by sunshine!  The ceremony was enhanced by a log fire, candles and Tudor music which lent its own special charm to the proceedings.

A brilliant confetti tunnel followed the happy event, then some relaxed portraits of Anna and Gary by the river and in the grounds, before drinks with family and friends in the drawing room of the castle. This was followed by a stunning banquet in the Castle dining room.

Anna and Gary, such a beautiful start to your married life together.  I wish you all the best for a happy future together! x
