St. Agnes Cliffside Wedding
BEAUTIFUL CLIFFSIDE WEDDING AT NEWDOWNS FARM IN ST. AGNES – CHARLOTTE AND DANIEL
IF YOU LOVE CORNWALL THEN YOU’LL LOVE THIS CLIFFSIDE WEDDING!
Charlotte and Daniel got married at the spectacular Newdowns Farm, St. Agnes, this summer. It was a stunning marquee wedding, with flowers as the main decor and Cornish Engine Houses (beautifully made by a friend of the couple) naming the tables.
Charlotte got ready at Dan’s father’s house with her bridesmaids and a lot of very excited family members including her brother Ben. There was such excitement in the air! She wore a floor length gown with an embroidered top, and looked simply stunning. Charlotte and her brother Ben then jumped into a Rolls Royce to get to the ceremony up in the fields underneath the Beacon, where they got engaged. The very excited bridesmaids (and I!) followed in a wedding bus!
The ceremony took place in a small marquee overlooking the stunning view of the ocean at St. Agnes Head. The ceremony area was filled with colourful flowers. Dan waited for Charlotte to arrive and was proudly wearing his Cornish Tartan Kilt, with his groomsmen also (rather excitedly) wearing different tartans on their kilts.
The ceremony began with Charlotte being presented to Dan by her brother Ben, and finished with Dan being high-fived as they walked down the aisle. Outside they were showered with colourful confetti by the delighted guests. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of so many smiles for the couple and so much love.
After the ceremony, we went down to the coastguard hut for some photos of Charlotte and Dan with their beloved dogs. Then Igot some really fun photos of the bridal party having a laugh overlooking the iconic Bawden Rock – the rocks that represent St. Agnes. The weather was fresh and sunny and even a strong breeze down by the cliffs didn’t stop them larking about and enjoying it thoroughly! It was a stunning day.
The fun of the day!
The afternoon was filled with games for the children (and adults! Who seemed to be having a whale of a time on throwing the welly and giant connect 4)! The day was just filled with fun for everyone, all ages mingled and enjoyed themselves. With the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and St. Agnes Head. A Barndance took the place of the usual first dance and was a riot of laughter, people standing on each others feet and actually excellent dancing! Later on the day’s light became these beautiful rays of light dancing over the ocean, like a spotlight shining down from the heavens. It was most beautiful.
I loved this Newdowns Farm wedding so much! Charlotte and Dan, your day was so happy and filled with love. I wish you the happiest of futures together, and may rays of sunshine continue to dance down from the heavens upon you both! xx
