Whitsand Bay Fort Wedding

Relaxed Cornish Elopement Wedding – Steph and Simon.

Whitsand Bay Fort was the location for this lovely September elopement wedding.  Steph and Simon (along with their two gorgeous children and parents) had decided to elope to Cornwall!  Steph’s wanted very low-key and relaxed photography: “to capture the love without us even realising”.

The air was full of thick fog  on the day, but this didn’t put a damper on anyone’s spirits.  Steph got ready with best friend Zoe and daughter Poppy in one of the cabins at the Fort.  Poppy was bubbling with excitement to be bridesmaid for Mum!  Inside Stephs wedding dress the words “love from Uncle Gordon” had been stitched in blue.  This alongside a beautiful bouquet charm with a photo of Steph and her Uncle made for a very poignant reminder of an obviously very loved and missed man.

Due to the weather the ceremony had to take place in the vault, which being such a small gathering made it a very intimate.  Best Man Archie, at 18 months old, decided he was far too tired to stay awake for the whole ceremony, but kept everybody amused throughout the day with with his hilarious pout!

After the ceremony we went down to Cawsand Bay beach for Steph and Simon’s portraits.  What a beautiful spot!  With the combination of Trees down to the water, rocks and sand, this made for stunning backdrops for the photographs.  Apart from everything else in this wonderful day, I think this alone would have made the trip to Cornwall to get married, worth it!

Steph and Simon and your gorgeous children, I wish you all the best for a wonderful and happy life together! x
